Isaac Van Wart Chapter members of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution recently put their America250! float in the Convoy Days Parade in Convoy, OH, which was patriotic and also honored the towns sports teams. Joining the members were two DAR grandchildren dressed as George Washington and Martha Washington’s niece. Two HODAR also helped with the float, both assembling and driving as well as a flag bearer. The local DAR America250! enthusiasm is alive and well in Northwest Ohio. Members were also delighted to see a parade photo of the float with waving members featured in the local newspaper, both print and online. The Times Bulletin had a photog and reporter at the parade. Thank you Sam Shriver! The above photo was submitted by a member.
